Ross Services - Facility, Storage and Warehousing
Ross Towing and Transportation Services Inc. is located at 995 Pond Mills Rd., London, Ontario. Our secured storage facility is conveniently located just off the 401 at Exit 189. Our close proximity to both the 401 and 402 allow for quicker response times and more efficient service. The 2.67-acre state of the art facility was opened in March of 2005 and includes over 1 acre for parking and secured vehicle storage. The facility includes 7 – 80ft bays complete with 14 ft shop doors and a digital infrared camera security system. The paved front parking lot is accessed off of Wilton Grove Road just West of Pond Mills Road and allows ample parking for employees and visitors. The main office is located just off the parking lot and is wheelchair accessible.
By being centrally located in London Ontario halfway between Toronto and Windsor allows us to service our customers all over Southwestern Ontario. Our main corridors of operation are Toronto, Windsor and Sarnia but regularly travel much farther to service our customers including into the United States. We are licensed by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Ministry of Transportation to travel into the United States and Quebec.
Security
Secure storage is something we are very familiar with and take very serious. The secured compound is surrounded by an 8ft high barbed wire fence and 16 digital infrared cameras record the perimeter and all points of entry on the property. For added security the compound is monitored by a guard dog and has night time lighting. Access to the compound is strictly controlled; electronic gates ensure no one except authorized personnel can drive into the compound. Anyone wanting to gain access to the compound must first enter the office. The compound can be entered through two 30-foot wide electronic controlled gates. The gates remain closed at all times and close automatically after a vehicle has left the compound. There is a locked man gate close to the office for people to enter the compound and be escorted back to their vehicles to remove contents. The man gate is electronically controlled and kept locked at all times and can only be opened by office staff.Dock Facilities
Our Pond Mills facility also has covered loading docks for transferring loads or unloading trailers into secure storage. We have licensed forklift operators and several different types of forklifts on-site to transfer or redistribute weight. The loading docks are an invaluable asset when a loaded trailer has been involved in an accident and the load needs to be transferred to a new truck or trailer for delivery. Finding a place to do a load shift is sometimes a difficult thing and by having our own cross-dock facility eliminates that problem for our customers.Indoor Storage
Indoor storage – approximately 4000 sq. ft of indoor, climate controlled secured storage. The interior of the building is monitored by 9 infrared cameras including 3 just for the secured storage area. The temperature is monitored and controlled by radiant heating and the floor is concrete. One bay is complete with steel racking for temperature controlled secured load storage.Portable Container Storage
General storage division has 40ft and 20 ft containers to rent. Ross Towing and Transportation can provide transportation to the job site – ideal for the construction industry to provide on-site secure storage of equipment and materials.
