Ross Services has been in the machinery moving business since 1986 with the purchase of its first flatbed/roll-off truck. It has grown extensively over the past 20+ years and now includes more than 10 pieces of equipment – 3 Floats, 4 Roll-offs, and 3 Tilt and Loads. In addition to the specialty equipment we have 53 and 48 ft Flatbed and Van Trailers that we can utilize to move equipment. As our customers continue to grow and their needs change we continue to grow with them to meet our customer needs and service them better.
Our Three Specialty Float Trailers
50 Ton Elgin Tilt and Slide Trailer - used for large loads with no height restrictions – large booms, rollers, pavers, 40ft containers, loads of multiple forklifts or Aerial Lifts, etc.50 Ton Elgin Detachable Gooseneck Float – used for large or heavy construction equipment with height restrictions – excavators, backhoes, moulds, rollers, etc.
60 Ton Elgin Trombone Float – used for large or heavy construction equipment with height restrictions or length restrictions. This float will expand to accommodate a 53ft trailer in the belly of the float for transport. It is also used for excavators, backhoes, etc.
Ross Services regularly moves Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Rollers, Graders, Backhoes, Pavers, etc. in and around the London area. We also move larger pieces of factory machinery and damaged trailers that can’t be towed safely down the road. Our 60 Ton trombone float trailer even stretches to accommodate a 53ft trailer for transport. As you can see we are capable of moving a wide range of heavy duty construction and road machinery equipment on our 3 Float Trailers. From heavy loads to over width loads we always try and accommodate our customer’s needs.
Our Roll-offs (Flatbeds) and Tilt and Loads
Our Roll-offs and Tilt and Loads are utilized moving all types of smaller construction equipment – Aerial Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Skid-Steers, Forklifts and 20 ft containers. In addition to moving construction equipment our drivers are experienced moving other types of factory machinery – generators, dyes, moulds, CNC machines, presses etc.
Our Roll-offs are equipped with 28ft decks that will lay completely on the ground to allow for easy loading and unloading of machinery or can be backed up to a dock for loading or unloading. The roll-offs are capable of carrying heavier weights and can move multiple pieces of equipment or forklifts at one time. The tri-axle roll-offs are capable of carrying weights of approximately 40,000 lbs. As part machinery moving we own several different size indoor and outdoor forklifts that we can use for loading and unloading.
Our Tilt and Loads are utilized to move lighter loads of equipment or machinery. They are ideal for moving small forklifts or Aerial Lifts and are especially handy for moving 20ft sea containers.
In addition to moving 20 and 40 ft containers our General Storage Division rents 20 and 40 ft containers out monthly.
