Ross Towing and Transportation Services Inc.’s Quick Response Spills Unit is designed to reduce the environmental impact and the financial strain in conjunction with your vehicle’s recovery.
In order to better serve our customers it has become imperative to expand our operation to include a full service environmental response and clean up service. Ross Towing can now provide clean up support and equipment in addition to vehicle recovery and transportation. Ross Towing and Transportation Services Inc. is licensed by the Ministry of the Environment to collect, handle and transport waste, (including contaminated product spills).

In situations involving potential leaks or accidents, our customers will benefit from our modern equipment and the skills and expertise acquired in over 50 years in the transportation and recovery industry. As one of the first responders to a scene of an accident Ross’ Services has the knowledge and training to stop or limit the amount of fuel discharged from the vehicle. Reducing the amount of fuel lost at the scene of an accident can save clean-up time and money.
Proper and pre-planned incident management is becoming more and more important as part of a company’s due diligence. Having an action plan in place with service providers that have the necessary tools to get the job done and quick action on your company’s part can reduce your environmental and recovery costs. Ross Towing is experienced at handling incidents involving fuel and oil spills at the scene of an accident and can be instrumental in providing your company with the necessary tools to contain the environmental impact.
Ross’ Environmental Services Equipment
We have two spills response units designed for quick transport to the scene of a clean-up.
These units carry a variety of equipment and spill absorbent material designed to contain and clean up small and medium sized spills.

In addition to the two quick response units which are designed to limit the environmental damage during an accident we are experienced and have the necessary equipment to clean up after the fuel spill. Our roll-off trucks are designed to carry our roll-off bins and sealed containers. We are licensed by the Ministry of the Environment to transport the contaminated soil or liquid to the dump site or store it at our facility while waiting for testing. We have a Skid-Steer, Kabota Tractor Backhoe, 580 Case Tractor Backhoe available to dig out the contaminated soil and replace it with new.
An Environmental Response program is essential to limit and manage the scene of any accident where hydrocarbons have been spilled. Ross Towing and Transportation is one of only a few towing companies to be licensed by the Ministry of the Environment to clean-up these types of accidents.
